Bill Abram
As founder and president of Pragmatix, Inc., Bill Abram
has been the driving force behind a broad range of high
quality technology solutions designed for Fortune 500 companies
and small businesses. Founded in 1992 to enable businesses
to deploy technologies that better support business processes,
Bill works closely with clients to assess their needs and
provide meaningful solutions that improve overall business
performance. Bill ensures all Pragmatix services are delivered
in a manner that has earned Pragmatix an outstanding reputation
for quality, reliability and accountability.
A thought leader in information technology (IT) for more
than 20 years, Bill has a successful track record of running
high-tech companies. Prior to founding Pragmatix, Bill co-founded
Abram & Yagoda Systems Group to build LAN-based, multi-user
PC applications. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
with a bachelor of science degree in management engineering,
Bill also holds an MBA in finance from Pace University.
Bill is a passionate volunteer in a number of organizations
in his community and has served as president of the of the
Volunteer Center of the United Way, a clearinghouse for
volunteers that recruits and refers almost 5,000 volunteers
a year to over 450 not-for-profit agencies. In addition,
Bill is a spokesperson for the press and contributes regularly
to business publications on important technology issues
facing today’s businesses.
Barbara Abram
Barbara plays a key role in strategic planning, marketing,
finance and operations as vice president of Pragmatix, Inc.
Responsible for the fast-paced day-to-day business operations
of Pragmatix, Barbara also heads the company’s marketing
and public relations efforts, manages human resources and
handles all aspects of accounting and finance. Barbara works
with the entire Pragmatix team to effectively communicate
and market client-focused products and services. Prior to
launching Pragmatix with her husband Bill, Barbara served
as an art director at Dansk Designs, a company known for
distinctive tabletop style, form and color. She also served
as an adjunct professor of graphic design at Parsons School
of Design and Purchase College. Active in her community,
Barbara is a volunteer for FoodPatch and a former school
board trustee of the Ardsley Union Free School District.
