AXA Art Insurance Corp. is the world's leading fine art and collectibles insurer. AXA serves a wide range of clients from first-time purchasers to the world's most respected collectors as well as individual artists, museums, galleries, corporations and public exhibitions. Technology plays an important role in all aspects of AXA's business processes but frequently changing art collections are placing new demands on its sprawling IT infrastructure.

Successfully managing the client experience is at the core of AXA's business operations. When policyholders bought and sold expensive artwork or, moved it from one location to another, it was time consuming for AXA brokers to update insurance records. And, was nearly impossible for AXA to monitor appraised valuations or, measure its exposure by geography. AXA wanted to improve performance, throughput and cost efficiency associated with client policy information. To strengthen the entire process from end-to-end while improving reporting and control capabilities, Pragmatix created an easy-to use, web-based application for data entry. After data is recorded, each record is electronically forwarded to a manager for review to ensure data is not "posted" to the policyholders schedule until it has been checked for accuracy. Approvals are accomplished with a simple "click". Built-in master tables make data entry quick and easy, and a series of query tools make research and control more effective. In addition, the system produces a number of reports to help monitor risk exposure by asset class, artist, and geography.
